Meet the Teachers
All of our teachers are tenured, passionate educators with their Master's Degrees and a love for what they do.

Founder & Teacher: Jackie Greiner
Jackie Greiner has been teaching for 11 years and is currently a third-grade teacher at a public school in Brooklyn. Previously, she taught fourth grade in general education and ICT classrooms. Jackie holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Marist College and received her Master’s Degree in Literacy Instruction (B-6th) from Hunter College.
Jackie has certifications in Childhood Education (1-6th), Special Education (B-6th), and Literacy (B-6th). She has years of experience tutoring students, in-person and remotely, of all elementary ages and learning styles for instruction in reading, writing, and math, as well as test preparation. Her goal is to make learning engaging and inspiring.

Eric Keller
Eric graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and he has earned his Master’s degree in Literacy Education from Hunter College.
Eric has been teaching Kindergarten and first grade at Bay Ridge Prep in Brooklyn since 2017. He has also worked as a preschool teacher at Battery Park Montessori and The Park Slope Schoolhouse, in addition to teaching first and second grade at The Little Red Schoolhouse and Village Community School in the West Village in Manhattan. Eric has experience tutoring children in reading and math and teaching remote classes using many digital tools and fun teaching strategies.

Lauren McNamara
Lauren is an experienced, energetic educator and new mother who works at a public middle school in Queens. She has 10 years of teaching experience and a master's degree in Educational Psychology from Marist College.
Lauren has certifications in childhood education (1-6th) and special education (B-12th) and has experience teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students with special needs. Lauren uses digital manipulatives, visuals, and engaging interactive activities to reinforce mathematical concepts and encourage students to explore grade-level skills through various strategies.

Dana Pastrich
Dana Pastrich began her teaching career as an Elementary Reading Interventionist and has taught first grade for 11 years. She has a Masters degree in literacy with certifications in Early Childhood Education and Literacy B-6. Dana taught a class of 25 first graders remotely for an entire year and a half during COVID.
Her favorite part of teaching is witnessing students tackle little milestones each day, and then all of a sudden, BOOM! They’re reading chapter books or writing paragraphs and are astonished that they’re able to accomplish such tasks. Dana has experience using a wide range of digital teaching tools and strategies that allow her to have great success while teaching remotely.
